Week 10 - Art Activity - Intermedia

이미지
I want to make a work about the last 4Th of July. Korea has Independence Day on March 1st. On March 1st, in Korea, the Taegeukgi is usually hoisted in every house. However, the United States considers fireworks on the 4th of July to be a significant event. While walking down the street, I wanted to keep the fireworks. Many media could be included, such as photos, videos, and recordings, but I chose a video among them. I think shooting fireworks on video turned out the best. Of course, I could express it with a photo, but I don't think it was as lively as a video.

Week 10 – Artist – Joseph DeLappe & Micol Hebron

이미지
Joseph DeLappe Joseph DeLappe is an American artist based in England. He is an artist exploring contemporary issues in contemporary politics through new media installations and interactive gaming performances. Joseph seems to have expressed various works, such as the crying Statue of Liberty and a soldier who fell with a gun next to him as if they were box materials.  But it was none other than the computer game GTA that imprinted Joseph's name. "that games are a huge cultural phenomenon that most of the art world ignores," Joseph said. In 2006, Joseph started with a game called 'Dead in Iraq'; after that, he did another work called 'Elegy: GTA USA Gun Homicides.' For this GTA game, Joseph also won the 2019 Webby Awards. Joseph DeLappe thought about why 'Dead in Iraq' and 'GTA USA GUN' did two works. It seemed that Joseph DeLappe wanted to say something by linking the murders in a video game to an actual murder case. It appeared that Joseph

I don't go out these days because of the increased risk from the Delta Coronavirus. I haven't been out of the house for three weeks now. I always tried to do this Art Activity by taking pictures of myself at home, but I felt it was too simple and boring. The last time I was most active was when I visited Korea last summer. It was my first visit to Korea in three years, so I had a different feeling. I stayed in Korea for about two months, and I tried to sort things as best as possible according to this week's Art Activity rule. Heading to the LAX Waiting for airplane Ready to take off Arrived South Korea Going to my home During quarantine for two weeks Relief goods Home-cooked meal Meeting with my old friends. Week 9 - Artist - Eric Singer & Ewa Xebra

이미지
Eric Singer  I searched Eric Singer LEMUR on YouTube and saw a related video. Eric Singer is an artist who creates music using various robotic instruments. Eric collects instruments like drums and xylophones so that the machine can play them automatically. Eric is also an engineer who invented computer programming techniques that allowed robots to play music automatically.  Eric's robots are automated to play automatically. There is no need for a person to play an instrument. As if Singer made this system, I think it is the same principle as a piano, MIDI music, that sounds when notes are inputted in advance. It is a type that the machine automatically reads and produces a sound according to the scale entered in advance. Ewa Xebra I saw a photo album called <Luna's 365 Days> by Ewa Xebra. With a total of 2487 photos, there was a considerable amount. There were pictures of her growing up day by day, and I was moved from the time Luna was born because I felt that her parent
